Gentle Readers:

More and more, I have found that my central message, my "core message," as well as my constant and consistent learning, revolves around Freedom, inner freedom. When we become free of our thoughts about ourselves, free of thoughts about others, about the world, about our particular cultures and sub-cultures--including our spiritual or religious "paths" ... we then have the opportunity to discover that which is both free of Thought, and is also the Source of all Thought. With this discovery, fear begins to disappear, and an authentic, loving life arises naturally, effortlessly, as we learn to relax into simply Being what we already Are.

What is a Mystical Mama?

A mystical mama, mystical papa, or mystical person, is simply a person who attempts to tune into a deeper wisdom about life, about themselves, about their children (spouse, parents, friends), about the moment in which they find themselves. "Mystical" sounds so mysterious and yet, Life itself is an endless wonder and mystery. Our connection to Life makes us all "mystical."

One of my favorite books is "Ordinary People as Monks and Mystics" by Marsha Sinetar. In the book, Sinetar interviewed dozens of very ordinary, quiet people: doctors, housewives, carpenters ... who lived in extra-ordinary feeling states & realms of consciousness. While their lives were "plain," their inner connections to a sense of the Divine, to the mystery of life, were not.

It is this connection to a deep and rich feeling about the mystery and magic of life that makes life truly worth living. If we are parents, teachers, aunties or uncles, children show up in our lives to help us connect to that. They are born with just such an innate feeling. This feeling is still in us. And with the wisdom of maturity, we can return to a sense of the intuitive and spiritual in our lives. We can be free to live the life that feels best for us, and go beyond the ordinary and constricting definitions of success and "fitting in" that plague this mixed-up world.

This blog is for all people who are ready to return to a mystical sense and feeling in their lives. It is not religious, nor even connected to one or another spiritual "tradition." Life/God/Love/Wisdom is ever present and all around us. We simply need to learn to See.
